About Larry

Larry Queen is a fifth-generation Colorado native and your candidate for Colorado State Senate in District 20.

A Wheat Ridge High School graduate, Larry is a product of twelve years in Jeffco Public Schools and graduated with honors from Menlo College in Atherton, CA. His Colorado roots run deep; with a sister, parents, and dozens of close family members all residing here in Jefferson County.

Growing up, Larry learned the importance of public service. His father was a Denver city police officer and his grandfather was a Denver City Councilman. Larry has led a successful career in sales as well as managing local real estate investments. His business partner has also been his partner in 21 years of marriage and parenting, his wife Debbie.

Larry and Debbie live in Arvada with their two sons, Roger, a junior at Faith Christian Academy, and David, a fifth grader at Bethlehem Lutheran School. Their daughter Andrea is attending college in Wisconsin as a freshman, studying to be a preschool teacher.

Larry’s outside interests include youth coaching, cycling (including Ride the Rockies) and volunteer work including Habitat for Humanity, Mt Saint Vincent Home in Denver and Bethlehem Lutheran Church. After Katrina hit, Larry also spent a week in Biloxi and New Orleans helping with hurricane cleanup.
